Adventure Club (Feat Yuna) (Paragon Reviews)

Hello again, so as I said, over the coming weeks I'll will be looking over some songs that have really shone out to me over either the coming month or the past month or two. So I thought I would continue with the tradition of songs that I have fell in love with since the releases. Admittedly this huge track by Adventure Club completely slipped under my radar. And I only finally came to hearing it when 'Chilfuly' promoted it on the channel, I'm a huge fan of Adventure Club's music, and more specifically their remix of Yuna's 'Lullabies'. And so to see on my youtube home page the sight of her vocals being on one of their new tracks definately got me excited before I'd even clicked on it. Anyway so before I get into this beast of a track here's the link : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VEO6wqbtUGg

The track begins with such beautiful, yet simple vocal chops, and the real smooth pads that just draw you in as a listener, I honestly feel like floating away with Adventure Clubs music! When Yuna's vocals begin there is so many more things to notice, but along with the airy sounds you will be so immersed into a new world that the sheer amount of sounds that are their just make you lost for choice with what beautiful sound to hear next.
Then the buildup kicks in, the thing we know and love them for, some nice repetative vocals upto what feels like the most smooth yet hard-hitting drop I have heard in a while.
What impressed me about this is the tempo which it is at, this is usually Drumstep tempo, it has allowed them so much versatility in this track, their trademark pad and lead sounds are so huge in the 'drop' of the song, and will keep you hooked straight through till the end, and I honestly still find myself doing some form of movement to it...
The mid-section also has some really nice structure which really gives each element of the track it's place, I suppose that's why I think of Adventure Club to be amazing not just as producers, but as musicians.
The track is well worth a listen and if you're into more melodic sounds of EDM then I really do suggest checking these guys back catalogue out, as I've fell in love with almost every song and remix they have put out!
Anyway with so many different elements to such a perfect track, I think Adventure Club have finally nailed what they had been trying to achieve with alot of their first tracks! Gold is such an amazing track to listen to and I'm sure you'll put it on repeat too! Big Shout out to them <3

P.S - Thanks for reading this far down, I've been trying to put alot more thought into my writing recently as you can probably tell I'm not a huge fan of the 'short blog' style and I love to actually review! anyway since you've read this far down I just wanted to tell you about a song that I will be releasing quite soon, I already have 5 others you can download for free here - https://soundcloud.com/paragonofficial/sets/singles

Singularity - Drowning (Paragon Reviews)

Right, been a while since I've done an in depth review on a track that I truly am enjoying... there has been alot of amazing releases coming out but rather than take time to do one for all (I may do in future) I thought I'd just share my thoughts and feelings on one of the most amazing tracks I've heard all year round by one of my favourite Artists 'Singularity'.

Singularity - Drowning

I actually found this dude through Au5's remix of his track 'Alone' and I was completely speechless (in a good way!) at his other tracks, though it did confuse me when the original of 'Alone' had more vocoded vocals than the remix, and so I though I'd follow him every way possible. But recently I hadn't seen anything new at all from him, then he put out a batch of four previews, and this track for free!

Also you can find another track on youtube to listen to before the EP is released, here - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZRP3bJPkF_Y

So, Drowning, I was super excited for this one as it seems that the shy boundary he had before with his own vocals has been completely banished for this EP, and what has come out of it is this (Forgive the reference) legendary mashup of Adam Young (Owl City) style melodic vocals, and upbeat drumstep beats that sound like they were fresh off Pendulum's In Silico album!

The songs intro is a beautiful contrast to what is the actual song, with a beautiful modulated 8-bit intro it makes you instantly immersed to hear what comes next in this amazingly structured track. The drums are so well mixed with the airy, yet mellow, pads that the entire song sounds perfect.  And then the chorus kicks in! Never before have I heard Singularity's signature synth been put to perfect use as well as it has been in this track. The song will keep your ears on their feet constantly and you won't hesitate to smile whilst listening!

The best part about this song is that even though the 8-bit arp runs throughout alot of the song, you can tell that so much thought has been put into the variation and structure in this beautiful track! well worth the download, and pre-order on his new EP (Which will be featuring extra vocals from Anna Yvette and Jenn Lucas, and piano from the amazing Evan Duffy).

Lastly I wanted to make a note about the amazing lyrics in this song, whether it is wrote about true story or imagined fairy tale. the lyrics stand very close to me and I think very close to him, and that makes the track even more amazing <3

Big Shout out to Singularity <3
